An everlasting gift

I was first introduced to Posy when Ant and I were invited to Boxing Day lunch at West Dunster Christmas 2005. Not known for doing anything by halves, Ant flew us in by helicopter, our landing pad to be the field adjacent to the house. Richard and Posy had constructed a makeshift ‘stile’ to give us access to the garden, informing us that it was a bit wobbly and instructed us to be careful.  In my Christmas best, flowing skirt and heels, I became attached to the fence and Posy seeing me facing imminent disaster, ably came to assist and then apologised for not having made a better effort! That I came to learn was Posy; quietly soothing to make one feel at ease. Reading the enthralling tributes posted here by family, companions and friends, I am left breathless by her incredibly full and fascinating life, especially her time in Africa - but what shines the brightest from the Gallery for me is her love for Richard and the closeness of her family. I only knew you for your last quarter Posy, but you have inspired me to live my last quarter to the full.  Thank you for all the wonderful parties, for accompanying us at Prussia’s Cornish Wedding last year & for welcoming me into the family.  Annie Stockman.
